Symptoms We Fix on Every
PRO 48 / PRO 36

The PRO Series' advanced features are also its most common failure points. Here's what we see most often in Orange County kitchens.

Refrigerator or Freezer Not Cooling

The most common PRO Series call we get. Usually traced to a single failed compressor circuit, a blocked condenser, or a control board that's stopped commanding the compressor — not a full system replacement.

Water Leaking Inside or Underneath

Pooling water almost always means a clogged defrost drain, a cracked water line, or a faulty ice-maker inlet valve. Left alone, it damages cabinetry and flooring fast.

One Side Warm, Other Side Cold

The PRO Series runs two independent cooling systems. If the fresh-food side goes warm while the freezer stays cold, it's almost always an evaporator fan, damper, or single-circuit issue — not the whole unit.

Glass Door Won't Seal or Close Softly

Soft-close hinges wear out and magnetic door gaskets lose their grip over time, letting warm air in and fogging the glass. We replace OEM hinges and gaskets to restore the factory-tight seal.

Touch Control Panel Frozen or Unresponsive

A blank or frozen touch panel usually points to the control board or a power issue, not the display itself. We test the board before replacing anything.

Wi-Fi Won't Connect or Drops Repeatedly

The PRO Series' remote-monitoring module can fail independently of the cooling system. We isolate the connectivity module so you're not paying to replace parts that already work.

Ice Maker Slow, Stopped, or Leaking

Automatic ice makers with built-in water filtration are prone to clogged filters, faulty inlet valves, and frozen fill tubes. We diagnose the full water path in one visit.

Error Code (EC / E) on the Display

PRO Series control boards report specific fault codes for sensor, defrost, and compressor issues. We read the code on-site to confirm the real cause before quoting a repair.

PRO Series Repair,
Answered

Do you repair both the PRO 48 and PRO 36?

Yes. We service every PRO Series model, including PRO4850, PRO4850G, PRO3650, PRO3650G, and the legacy 648PRO and 636PRO.

What does an EC or E error code mean on my PRO Series?

These codes point to a specific system fault — evaporator sensor, defrost circuit, condenser fan, or compressor. We read the exact code on-site so the repair is targeted, not guesswork.

Why is my PRO Series glass door fogging up?

Fogging between the panes usually means the door seal has failed and humid kitchen air is reaching the insulated glass. We replace the door gasket and check the hinge alignment that often causes it.

Can one compressor be repaired without touching the other?

Yes. The PRO Series uses two independent cooling systems, so we can diagnose and repair the fresh-food or freezer side separately without disturbing the working circuit.

How much does Sub-Zero PRO Series repair cost?

Most repairs run $300–$900 depending on the part and labor involved, and the $79 diagnostic fee is waived when you proceed with the repair. We provide a written quote before any work starts.

Do you service older 648PRO and 636PRO refrigerators?

Yes — these legacy PRO units are still very repairable, and we stock the compressors, gaskets, and control boards they need.

Is my PRO Series still under Sub-Zero's warranty?

PRO Series units carry a 2-year full warranty and extended coverage on sealed components. Share your model and serial number and we'll help confirm your status before scheduling.

How fast can you get to my kitchen?
